ESEP is a group of experts engaged in scientific research and development work in in economics and sociology of education in Poland and in other transition countries, from Kyrgyzstan to Macedonia. Most of the group is permanently employed by the Warsaw University, but we also work for a wide range of governmental agencies and NGO's in Poland and abroad. We are especially interested in:
The goal of ESEP web page is to encourage the interest in the issues of economics and sociology of education in Poland, to present of the results of our work, and to invite all interested to cooperate with us. The page About us contains our professional CV's and addresses. In Literature we present selected books and other publications related to our interests, which we consider especially important and worth attention. Under Online publications you will find reports and papers written by the members of our group. Links page provides a number of web addresses relevant to educational research. 8/2007: Mikolaj Herbst, Jan Herczynski and Anthony Levitas will work on behalf of EUROREG Warsaw University on the "Diagnosis of the education funding in Poland" in the project financed by Polish Ministry of Education 3/2007: ESEP members took part in the conference "Polish Education Ways and Dillemas" organised by Warsaw University 10/2006: Jan Herczynski is the co-author of two reports on the reforms of education funding in Romania and Macedonia (FYROM). Both papers are now available in "Online Docs" 4/2006: Mikolaj Herbst will contribute to the book on early education being prepared by the Foundation for Children Development. The chapter will be devoted to the financing of preschools and primary schools 3/2006: Mikołaj Herbst becomes engaged as a consultant in the project of decentralisation of education system in Montenegro 9/2005: The report "Finances, management and quality of education in rural areas" by Paweł Swianiewicz, Mikołaj Herbst and Wojciech Marchlewski is now available in "Online docs" (exclusively in Polish) |
